Mount Semeru or can be called Mount Meru is a cone volcano in the province of East Java, Indonesia. Mount Semeru is the highest mountain in Java Island, with its peak named Mahameru, 3,676 meters from sea level or can be in brief (mdpl). Mount Semeru is also the third highest volcano in Indonesia after Mount Kerinci on the island of Sumatra and Mount Rinjani in the province of West Nusa Tenggara. At the crater at the peak of Mount Semeru already known by the name of Jonggring Saloko. Mount Semeru is administratively included in the region of two districts, namely Malang Regency and Lumajang Regency in East Java Province.
